Whom do you allow to speak into your Childs life?
Many years ago, seven years to be exact; after homeschooling my children for a few years, I was guided by the homeschooling community to see a “professional” regarding choosing curriculums for my children.
During the meeting we were told that one of my children would never mount up to be “enough” for university and I was guided to follow the GED route for him. Thankfully I took these words with a pinch of salt, discarded the advice and words and went the Cambridge route for my child. I believed in my son!
I have long since forgotten this conversation and consultation, but we’re reminded of these words by my son when he had recently been offered his first position as a software engineer at a very reputable international organisation. First he was offered a bursary for his last year at university; was chosen as top 10 for their charity project, (writing a new program for the aforesaid company) and finally received two very lucrative offers from two companies!
My sons words echoed in my mind this morning; “Mom can you remember what that lady said? She said I will never mount to anything? She said that I will never make it through university! Look where I am now!”
He remembered the words spoken over him so many years ago! Words I have long forgotten…
Wow! Words stick to our children! Every word spoken over them and about them affects them! Today I am asking you this question: What do you allow strangers to speak over your children? What do you speak over your own children? What does your child believe about themselves based on the words they hear spoken over and to them everyday?
This morning as I was spending time in my garden with my Creator, YaHUaH I felt that He was instructing me to write this in my blog. I was to write it immediately.
Today I was reminded to thank my Father in Heaven for believing in my child and to ignore the words of a stranger spoken over my child! I thank Him today for guiding me and trusting in who He said my child was and is. Today I am reminded just how important “spoken words” are. The following words comes to mind; “Choose this day whom you will serve”…
We, as homeschooling families feel very uncertain about the current situation of homeschooling in our country; I want to remind you today to submit your children the the Most High, He will make their paths straight, He will guide them in their walk. As parents we are constantly stressing about the “what, where and how” regarding our children. Today I want to remind you to hand them back to their Creator. He will lead them home!
Today I want to remind you to trust in your abilities as a parent; you were chosen for a reason to be the mother and father of your children; do not trust strangers words or allow strangers to “choose life and death” for your children. Today I want to remind you that; “you are enough” and you do have everything needed to guide them and lead them as long as you yoke yourself to our King of Kings.

Proverbs 18:21
The power of the tongue is life and death – those who love to talk will eat what it produces.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. Our words have the power to build people up and give them life or tear people down and bring them death. The words we speak can inspire and encourage others while, in the same sentence, deflate and discourage.
Choose today; the words you speak over your children, those around you as well as yourself. Believe in Your God given abilities as a parent, stand firm, have faith!
Today I am reminded to yoke myself to Him again, reminded to renew and wash my mind with His word again, and to choose life for myself and my children again, today I choose Him: again…
Today again; I choose life!

Matthew 12:36-37
I tell you, on judgement day people will give an account for every thoughtless word they have uttered because by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.
